How to Dual boot Mac OS Catalina & Windows 10 in Macbook Pro using Boot Camp
This post is for the users who would like to have both Windows 10 and Mac OS in their Macbook Pro. There are various reasons on why you would like to have both MacOS and Windows Operating system in the same machine, the best of both the worlds. In my case, I wanted to use NVIDIA EGPU with my Macbook Pro, since MacOS does not provide native support to NVIDIA GPUs, I decided to install Windows OS in my Macbook Pro.
To achieve this dual boot in Macbook Pro, we can use Boot camp assistant.It is an amazing tool that is available for free in MacOS , which takes care of partitioning the Hard Disk and enables us to install the Windows 10 Operating system . It also helps in installing the necessary device drivers in Windows 10 post the OS installation.
I will also give some details on the problems faced during the installation , so if you face similar issues you can overcome them using the steps listed below in this post. I would recommend you to do your own due diligence before following the steps here, so I am not responsible if you break your Macbook Pro :)
Requirements:
- Enough space in your hard disk , I would recommend (150 GB) for Windows 10
- Windows 10 64 bit ISO image file
